if your hairdresser dyed your hair with the wrong colour, you can go back and ask them to fix it... it's usually free of charge if it's their mistake

you should wait a week since all the chemicals in hair dyes can really spoil your hair... that's when your hair will recuperate.... i know that revlon has some hair lightening products

Would you be brave enough to call the hairdresser (I assume you paid a pretty penny for this color) and tell her you have had time to look at the color and don't like it and want her to fix it. If she is honorable she will. After all, your business and being happy is her advertisement and way to get more customers.

You can go to the hair dresser and have the hair dye stripped but it will severly dry out and damage your hair. If you do decide to do that you must wait at least 2 weeks. You can also go darker in about a week with an at home kit without doing too much damage. Just use a good conditioner and perhaps buy a hot oil treatment. You can get one at any store, like walmart or walgreens, and they are very inexpensive and easy to use.

You shouldn't lighten your hair at home unless you really know what your doing. Hair color is often more than a simple piece of bleach and your done. Typically, when you lighten your hair color it will 'throw up' a natural tone, if your hair is a dark blonde now, and dyed that way, it will more than likely leave you with a yellow/orange/brassy cast. To avoid this your hair will have to be toned.

Also consider the condition of your hair.8 If you have been lightening your hair for years and you darkened it and you want to go back to light you may been left with some brittle hair, maybe even breakage.. Hair dressers maybe able to prevent this, or do as little damage as possible, with creme bleach, lightening creme, and low volume peroxides.Your stylist may want to remove the color deposited on your hair with modulat or Rusk Elimin8 before bleaching.

In conclusion, wait, if you can, but don't do it at home unless you know what you're doing. 90% it's not gonna work out the way you planned.

Take an egg and crack into a bowl. Add heaps of lemon juice and whisk until soft. Yes, the lemon juice does dry out the hair but egg is an excellent conditioner and will combat dryness, so dont worry.

Your hair should be up to three shades ligher.

NOTE: Rinse through hair before shampooing. Shampoo, condition, dry, and spritz lemon juice in hair.

Okay from what you have said your hair is extremely over-processed what happens is damaged hair absorbs color like a sponge but, it also does not retain color well at all,so you should absolutely wait a couple of days to see what you will end up with before you start attempting to correct it meanwhile you should be intensively conditioning your hair with a really good re-constructor(Joico k-pak is excellent). You really should give your hair rest.
