It is very hard to cover black. I tried to die over my black hair and it didn't work. There are to options. Bleach you're hair wait a while then die it the way u want it. Or go to a stylist and have her do " color works" on you're hair that will remove all the black:)

it might but it'll probably be darker than expected. you should probably bleach your hair before you do it.

You are going to end up with a mess! That black has to be bleached out with regular hair bleach. If you have any red tendencies in your hair, that's what it will bleach out to.

Get the black cut off, is your easiest solution and then color the natural that you have left. Get a cute style and with the new color, you'll be a knockout! Good Luck!

you can't color over black and expect the color to change. Black is the darkest color on the pigment chart, you have to lighten it, if you want it to change. I agree with the girl who said to cut it off! If you don't, you will have multi-toned hair, and a def line where you tried to change the color. good luck!

Well if its naturally black then you'll have to bleach it like alot times or something and then dye it after its lightened up about 6 shades or so,if its dyed black then it might work but not quite sure,go ask your stylist or hairdresser.

Good luck!!

You need to get a stripper kit and lighten up those black ends before you put the blush blonde on

Okay, the best thing to remember when coloring your hair at home is this : you can't color color with color.

In order for the hair color to turn out the way it's supposed to, I suggest stripping your hair first (which removes pigmentation) or bleaching it (which can be really drying and cause a lot of damage.

the best thing to do really is to go to a professional, but I know that's not always feasable.

Hope that helps. :)
