Long arm hair?

ok so i have long, blonde arm hair(well not that long, about 3/4 of a inch maybe) ok so i know im lucky to have blond hair but you can still see it!! it sticks all up and messy! ok so i dont want to shave it because it will grow longer and spikier. waxing and bleaching: im 14 and i dont know if i want to do that! HELP!!!

Wax that and all other body hair. Body hair is ugly no matter what the hair color is, in my opinion. I'd rather be bald and smooth all over.

It doesn't grow longer and spikier when you shave it off. I used to shave my arms, but then I stopped, and when the hair grew back it looked and felt exactly like it did before I started shaving my arms.

Get an electric trimmer/razor. That will trim the hair above the skin and keep from getting the razor burn and stubble you can get from regular razors. You can also get a Nair type product.

wax it, it'll hurt at first but the more you wax it, the less hair will grow back eventually.

it is a myth that shaving your hair will make it grow back faster and longer. the rate that your hair grows is all determined by your genes. i also have blond hair on my arms, but i hate excess body hair so i have been shaving mine for years. i probably started sometime around your age and i'm 30 now. just be aware that you really have to keep on top of the shaving if that is what you are going to do. blond tends to shine in the sun and there is nothing worse than bright blond stubble in the summer. waxing is always an option.

yeah i dont think it will be that much different if you shave it. my ex bf swims and they have to shave their arms for sectionals and when it grows back its the same. but i can understand not wanting to risk it. mines sort of the same- not really that long but its darker and theres alot and it used to really bother me but it doesnt any more.

I work at a day spa that specialized in waxing. You might be a little underage and might need parental supervision if you find anywhere but i suggest waxing your arms. Its not that uncommon and I aswell do this. Im half puerto rican and philipino so I have long black hairs that grow on my arms so I just wax. The hair grown back very slowely with waxing and Mine grows back thinner. I love waxing and It doesnt even hurt as bad as lets say your lip area or facial waxing. Just see about getting help from your parents to see if they will let you go. Remeber after you wax to exfoliate aswell. So you dont get ingrown hairs.

When I was your age, I waxed my arm hair because I hated how long it was. It ended up growing back straight up as oppose to laying flat against my arm, now it's even more noticable.

I've come to like my arm hair. I suggest not touching yours. If it really bothers you, though, I suggest looking into permanent hair removal. Waxing and depilatory creams are the most permanent of hair removal methods, and though these methods claim to make hair grow back finer and more sparse, they don't. They do tend to hair grow back straighter.
