Blonde Hair Color Suites To Dark Complexions?

I was wondering if anyone could shed some light, if someone with olive (green or yellow skin undertone), was planning on having their hair in a lighter color, what are some tones to stick to that would be suited to their skin.

I noticed Nicole Richie can get away with some blond colors, i currently have platinum white hair, that's faded to a yellow tone that really is a horrid contrast to my skin tone, and i would like to soften up the color.

so if you are more Salma then Nicole, Darken it to a light brown and add blonde and light brown highlights ..maybe..

Perhaps a light reddish-blonde tint, rather than yellow-blonde would complement your skin tone? Not too much red, just enough to get rid of the yellow-yellow and add a hint of bronze.
