i live with my guardians and i see my parents every week. i want to get highlights but they said no! my BEST friend has blonde streaks and my other friend has a perm help!!! how can i tell her i want blond or black highlights? i have brown hair and my dad said it was alright but how do i get them to do it without having a heart attack??? so the question is how do i get my guardians to say yes for me to get highlights? my dad said it was okay but my guardians said no how can i change their minds?

NOTE I DO NOT WANT THE ONES THAT WASH OUT!!! I WANT THE NORMAL ONES!!!!!!

I think you mean "permanent" ones dear. Calm down, and take a deep breath.

1.Don't argue abruptly with them, act outstandingly mature, and resonable as you ask them about this.

2.When they say no, stay calm. Show them that you can be mature and mannerly. Politely say why you should get highlights. ***Be polite! Never yell, lose your temper, etc. That's the worse that you can do.

3.Have a well-behaved arguement. A calm, logical, and well behaved arguement.

4.Ask them why you shouldn't get highlights.

5.If they respond with a firm answer that opposes your opinions, politely respond as well.

6.Tell them why you should, and why no harm can be done.

7.Sit down while your at it. It sets a non-aggressive atmosphere.

8.Remember! A polite, well mannered, logical, and , mature argument.
