Coloring and cutting my hair?

i have dark blond hair and i want to dye it to medium brown. I have alot of natural highlights and i dont want to lose them if i color my hair!! will it cover up all of my highlights if i color it? also, i want to cut my hair into more of a simple punk/emo/scene hair style and i need some ideas so if you would put pics up that would be great!! i want it to be at least a little longer than my shoulder. thanks!!

i'm not into the punk/emo thing but if you do color your hair any color, it will cover your natural highlights and your natural hair color, i mean, that's what it's for - to change the color.

yes, the die will cover up your natrual highlights, but you could put some highlights in after you color your hair that would look natural.
