Can you dye your hair when pregnant? MY hair wont dye!?

i have platinum blond hair and need to maintain its color (im not allowed to have two toned hair at work). and i tried doing my roots and it wont dye....the dye i used usually works so great but lately when i try to do my roots it wont take the color. is it possible for me to maintain my hair color? if i go to a good salon do u think they would be able to take care of it?

yes you can dye your hair while pregant. most doctors dont recommend it after the 1st trimester though, which is the first 1-3 months. your hair may not stick to that certain dye now because the hormones changes in your hair and skin.



If you insist on coloring your hair--



what a good salon can do is apply bleach and a toner to your hair. but they cannot guarentee it sticking. Most stylists do not like applying dye to a pregnant woman, it creates many hazards for you and them. Ask them for an allergy test 24-48 hours before your color appointment. they would apply color on the inside of your elbow and on the skin behind your ear. if you get any kind of rash or discomfort where the dye was wash it off, and call your physician immediatly. If you have no problems with the dye, then you can dye your hair with no problems. Salons use a stronger dying formula than most box dyes. it may be able to cover your roots.
