Bleached hair in general?

Alrite, so a couple days ago i bleached my hair from a jet black to a very light blond. I like it and i think i wanna keep it this way for a couple months. What can i do in order to repair damaged hair, keep the color the way it is for longer? Should I use touch up? What kind of shampoo/conditioner should i use?

PS. this probably sounds a bit silly coming from a guy

Whatever you do, make sure you use a shampoo and conditioner specially for blonde hair. The good ones to look for are purple in colour (trust me, it wont make your hair purple).

This type of shampoo will be more expensive, but it will keep your blonde a fresh, bright, creamy blonde colour - and reduce what is known as 'brassy tones' (ie: your hair going orange).

Regularly touch up your roots every 4-6 weeks.

If your bleaching your hair only for a few months you should not to any major damage. Its when you bleach for years that it starts to snap and get really bad!!

1. DE LORENZO 'nova fusion' in silver.

2. PANTENE PRO-V 'blonde expressions' in platinum to sand dune.

As for touchups, i always go to a salon. But home bleaching kits can be good also! Use watever product/salon you used originally. Report It

somtimes when you use dye it can replenish your hair, but i doubt it works that way for bleach. whenever your hair starts growing back use a dye to dye it black and your hair should be fine.

Use a brand called bio silk. It's extemely popular at my hair salon for people with chemically treated hair.

Just get those moisture rich conditioners and after shower hair creams.

When it grows out just re touch the roots. Use a salon product for optimun condition. Go to a salon and ask about products they will be more than happy to help.

its not silly at all. wht i would do is do to a beauty supply (like Sally's) and tell them what you have done to your hair. They will point out a whole bunch of things for you to do, or, they have packets of cream rinse for after dye jobs and they work wonders on your hair. as for shampoo, you will want to keep moisture in your hair so that it does not break off, so i would get shampoo for dry hair (hello hydration is a good one, by herbal essence and it smells like coconuts!) to keep you hair nice.

Whatever you do, DON'T touch up hair that is already bleached. This will make it break and fall out. Only touch up the parts of hair that are growing in your natural color. Try washing your hair with egg yolks to soften it and neutralize the chemicals. I'd suggest buying a color-treated hair shampoo as well, and don't skimp here. The more expensive ones are much better. To keep your hair as light as it can get, try rinsing it with lemon juice after you conditioning, leaving it in. Avoid high sunlight and heat and any hair products that require heat (straightener, blow drier, etc.).

Since you are a guy.......just enjoy yourself.... You can always shave your head.

Matrix conditioning balm is great, its sold in salons. Nexxus is great for bleached hair as well. Its called humectress. Also by Reddken is extreme, if you have hair breakage. Any shampoo prof.shampoo for color treatd hair is great. Dumb blonde by bed head is great. The difference in products is you use less and get better results. The hair gets more moisure, repair and doesnt put a wax coating on it.
