Dying already over-prosessed hair?

My hair is naturally medium brown and now it's been blond. It just caused over-prosessing and it isn't the color i want. It's really brassy in the roots but on the top it's grayish ashy lifeless and practically white. Almost breaking off. I want to go to the salon for help in dying it to make it the color i want, but im afraid it'll fall out or something or the color won't take. I needa fix it somehow i can't live with this nasty color.

for now...you have to deal with it...its already damaged...if you do anymore damage..its gonna break off and look even worse...would you rather have nasty hair...or an ugly color....I pick the ugly color...it will always grow out...and if you want, wait a month then go to the dresser...but DONT do it yourself

Your making the right decision to go to a salon for help. Your hair most likely will not fall out but you will probably have to get a few inches cut of the ends. If you want your hair to be blonde make sure you ask the colourist what shade will compliment your skin tone and not do a great amount of damage to your hair. After getting your hair coloured make sure you get a moisturizing, anti-breakage shampoo and conditioner and a hair mask that you should use at least once a week to restore moisture.

i am an hairdresser and if you came in to my salon with bad damaged hair i would not be able to put a clour on. i would recommend going in to your salon for reconstructive treatments for about 1 month then go back to see if they will then applay a clour . or you can just use a deep conditioind treatment at home 4 times a week leave it on for 30 mins wrapped in a warm towl.good luck hun x

Don't dye your own hair because it just might fall out. You should go to the salon and ask them. They are professionals. They will be able to tell you whether you should wait to dye your hair and if you can dye it what's the best color that won't affect your already over-processed hair. Good Luck!
